“Amazing- Easy, Fun, and Stress Free!”
I was visiting my fiance in Portland for the week and we really wanted to go skiing. We found the Sea to Summit website and, after reading reviews, decided to give it a try. From the very get-go it was a great experience. My call was answered immediately and the advice was great. The whole package (rental, transportation, lift tickets) was way cheaper and smoother than it could have been any other way and we didn’t have to worry about driving, parking, or even standing in line, Sea to Summit did it all for us! We arrived at the REI and parked for free. The driver (Josh) and other passengers were great and full of good tips and fun conversation. We were dropped off at the very doors of the rental office and Josh got the lift tickets while we rented skis. It was very efficient and stress free! We hit the slopes almost immediately and, after ~6 great hours of skiing, were met by the bus right outside the lodge and journeyed home. It was absolutely perfect and we will definitely use this service again!

“We LOVE Sea to Summit!”
It actually cost less to take the Sea to Summit shuttle from Portland (free indoor parking at REI), park right in front of the lodge, have our lift tickets handed to us, our gear loaded and unloaded for us, and be picked up right at the door than it would have cost us to fill up the SUV with gas, drive ourselves to ski Meadows and buy our own lift tickets. The service is an excellent, carefree way to enjoy the ride up and back. What a great day! Our driver, Joshua, was friendly and professional yet laid back. The vehicles are clean and comfortable. I’ve used Sea to Summit for the second year both planning ahead and heading up last minute. They offer great package deals for other mountains as well, next time I think we’re going to try Crystal Mountain!

“USE THIS PLACE 🙂 great deal, great time”
My dad and I were nervous about driving up the mountain to Timberline ski resort, so we used Joshua’s service. What an awesome experience. He was on time, had rental agreements and tickets all ready and we didn’t have to wait in line for anything. He personally knows the owner of the resort and has personal deals with him. He even made us a dinner reservation at one of the best meals we have ever eaten. GREAT DEAL. use this guy for anything. Such a great experience. For sure will use this again.

“Sea to Summit is the ONLY way to go”
Some friends and I use Sea to Summit to get to Timberline Lodge for skiing. Josh is the best. He arrives on time, if not early, loads our gear for us and most importantly, provides a very comfortable (no overcrowding) and safe ride to the mountain. I used to be worried about the drive to the slopes. Sea to Summit has taken that worry away. If you need shuttle service, call Josh at Sea to Summit!!

I just used Sea To Summit to go skiing on my recent visit to Portland! As mountain driving (and weather) can be tricky, we decided to use their shuttle. When I called them initially with questions, they were very helpful and noted that I can book and pay online. I did that and I selected the Pearl District pick up rather than downtown; someone called me to make sure I had selected the right pick-up location since most out-of-towners stay downtown. On the day of, they picked us up in a big van that was plenty spacious for the three of us and the 4 other people that ended up on the shuttle that day. We originally wanted to go to Mt Hood Skibowl but our driver, Josh, explained that skiing is much better at the nearby Timberline Lodge, so that’s where we ended up. Thanks to Sea To Summit, we got a group rate on the lift ticket and ski rental, which was awesome. While we were on the mountain, it started to snow, and I was super glad we didn’t have to drive ourselves back into town! All in all our experience was awesome and I would highly recommend using Sea to Summit!

“Great tour, Great guide!”
Who wouldn’t want to spend a fabulous day with Josh? (tour or not!) We had a fabulous time on our trip to Portland, OR and the icing on the cake was The Mt. Hood/Columbia River Gorge Tour. We planned our trip from the East Coast and Josh was very prompt in returning our calls, so we were able to figure out our itinerary for the week. Other businesses, while may be friendly and professional, just didn’t provide this service as well. Josh is a native Portlander –he’s super friendly and knowledgeable –not only did we love the sites, we enjoyed both the ride there and back. On our way back, we asked for a recommendation for dinner on our last evening–he dropped us off at Gilda’s–and as it turns out, his friend is owner of this fine Italian restaurant–so fabulous! Our only regret is that we ran out of time for the Coastal Tour, so we’ll have to plan for that on our next visit–and maybe the wine tour–no doubt we’ll be back and we will definitely book it with Sea to Summit! Don’t miss out!

“Wonderful Time”
Since no tours were available when we called we decided to hire Sea to Summit for a private tour of the Columbia River Gorge and the Waterfalls. Joshua picked us up at the scheduled time in a very comfortable vehicle and for the next four hours drove us around the different waterfalls. We found Joshua to be very enthusiastic and informative and really enjoyed the tour. If we had rented a car and tried to do it on our own we would probably have missed many wonderful things so I know it was well worth it ot hire him as our private guide.

My friends and I went on a day long wine tour in the Dundee area. Our guide Josh was very patient and willing to accomodate our large group. His reccomendations for the wineries where excellent. They met our tastes and expectations. Josh kept us on schedule (which was a miracle due to the size of group), yet never felt rushed. Each winery we went to was waiting for us with special accomadations. We were greated warmly and treated so well. I’m sure this was due to Josh’s great planning and good relationships with the wineries. The tour bus was very comfortable and nice. The bus was also equipped with a dvd player and ipod connector so we could listen our playlists and videos. Sea to Summit exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a laid back and fun wine tasting experience.

“I headed out to Portland for a couple weeks to do some exploring and sight seeing and about a week into the trip I decided that I wanted to go snowboarding at Mt. Hood because I had heard of all the snow they had recently gotten. I did some research online for shuttles or buses that went from Portland to the mountain and came back that day and I ran across Sea to Summit. The website was very informative, they have a list of all the different tours that they provide, and they even have a calendar of all the upcoming tour dates and locations. I saw that the next day they had a shuttle going on a ski/board trip to Timberline Lodge and after seeing how much snow the mountain was getting, I couldn’t pass it up. I signed up for the trip on the website and they immediately sent me a confirmation email. Since I was backpacking through Oregon, I didn’t have a car but Sea to Summit has multiple pick up locations around Portland which makes it extremely convenient to meet the shuttle in the morning. I found one less than 4 blocks from the hostel that I was staying in! I talked to the manager, Josh on the phone the night before and he was extremely informative and seemed genuinely excited that I was going on the trip the next day. I booked the shuttle, lift ticket and all my snowboard rentals through Sea to Summit, so I didn’t have to worry about anything when we got to the mountain. Since I did all my bookings through them, I got a discounted rate on my lift ticket and rentals! We made it to the mountain in about an hour and a half and the snow storm we went through didn’t even slow us down! The bus, which is equipped with all-terrain tires and 4×4 to ensure a safe and comfortable ride. Everyone on the bus was extremely friendly, and the “locals” were extremely welcoming of me, because I met some people on the ride to mountain that I ended up boarding with for most of the day. Josh was very personable and outgoing and seems to have a knack for building friendships with the people on his tour…which I guess is why everyone who I have talked to who has toured with Sea to Summit keeps going back to him! So, I didn’t have to rent a car and drive through the snowy mountains, got my gear at a discounted rate and met some awesome people on the trip…I would have to say that it was an awesome day and when I go back to Portland, I will definitely be giving Sea to Summit another call! Maybe to go on a surf trip next time….. Thanks a lot Sea to Summit and Josh in particular for an awesome trip!”

“Ski Shuttle Service”
My group decided to use a ski shuttle instead of renting a car when we were in Portland because we didn’t know what the road conditions would be like when we booked in advance. We were picked up right on time and driven to Mt. Hood Meadows. Josh kept us entertained on the ride and was very accommodating. He walked us in and made sure we got our equipment so we could get out on the slopes. I would recommend Sea to Summit to anyone staying in Portland for the ski shuttle, or for any of the other tours. It’s really nice to not worry about driving home after a day on the slopes!

I just wanted to let you know that we loved the sea to summit service! It was so convenient getting from downtown straight to the mountain, and the snowboarding was awesome. No need to worry at all for out of town guests like we were. If we are ever in Portland again, we will be glad to go through Sea to Summit again or recommend you to anyone we know that visits. We were even late getting back to the van due to an issue on the mountain and couldn’t reach the drive at first because of bad phone reception, but once we were able to reach the driver by phone, Sea to Summit waited did not leave us behind! “Great Folks and Service”
My daughter and I booked a daytrip skiing at Timberline. Joshua was organized, friendly, prompt, and a great driver in what turned out to be a blizzard! What really made the trip though was the friendliness of all the other passengers–it turns out that most of them make this trip every Monday. Annie, Merle, Carl, Mike, Dorothy, and all the others shared food, drink, and the warmth of their hearts with us and made us feel like we were one of “The Gang”. The trip up to Timberline and back to Portland flew by. This is a great service, and if you’re lucky enough to be on the Monday bus, tell “Annie’s Army” that Mark and Sam said “Hey!”

My boyfriend and I recently went with Sea To Summit on an Oregon wine tour and from start to finish it was an awesome experience. They picked us up from our downtown hotel, along with 3 other couples, and we ended up seeing a total of 4 wineries and stopped at a great local market to pick up lunch to have at one of them. Our guide Shawn was knowledgable and friendly and took care of the tastings for us, so we could enjoy our time and not have to worry about who owes what. So why not 5 stars? Out of the 4 vineyards we were expecting to go on, one was just a tasting room, and the other was way to busy and a rushed experience (with pretty subpar wine). However, the other two we visited were simply outstanding-I just wished the other two could compete!

I just got back from snowboarding with Sea to Summit. It took me 5 minutes to book online and they called to confirm my pickup time and place the night before. The best part was the fresh snow that dumped all day but irrespective of the 12″+ of champagne powder I would highly recommend s2s to anyone looking to get a quick getaway from a business trip in Portland. The guide Josh has it all dialed in and made it quick and painless. He had my lift ticket ready and my rental setup so I was able to be on the slopes right after opening. He’s a cool guy, cares, and happens to be a great driver in the snow, ice and traffic (what is worse- I don’t know). You are in good hands all the way around.

“Sea to Summit, The only way to go wine tasting in Oregon”
Why Sea To Summit? Why not?! ? This was my second wine tasting party with Sea To Summit and it is definitely the best way to go. No worries at all- Joshua, the owner/driver, took care of everything for me and my girlfriends. A group of us wanted to do something different, fun and special for my 39th Birthday. Wine Tasting! But who’s going to drive, where to go??…. all those questions popped up, and then we thought, let’s have Sea To Summit do it all for us. Joshua picked us up in a comfortable van at one location and after asking us our preferences, had a 5 winery tour lined up for us. We kicked back and relaxed as he drove us to our destinations. We had packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed it with wine as we sat outside. The day flew by! And it was PERFECT. The great local wineries we toured included Erath, Sokol Blosser, Vista Hills, White Rose, and Maresh. We are lucky to live in Portland with these great wineries in our backyard. We toured with him all day yesterday. He took us to see spectacular waterfalls, fisheries and to Mt Hood. He is very knowledgeable about everything to do with Portland, but more than anything, he is a wonderful and honest human being.When I made my reservation with him a few days ago he cautioned me about the distance between downtown Portland (where all the places of interest are) and the hotel I was to stay at. He also gave me names of hotels where I should be staying etc. to make my trip better and affordable. He was so right as i ended up spending a bundle on taxis.So please, if you’re planning a trip to Portland Oregon – call Josh at Sea to Summit before you book or plan anything else. He has lived here all his life and will guide you about what to do, where to stay, eat etc.

Columbia Gorge and Portland City Tours
My wife and I were planning our trip to Portland for the Waterfront Blues Festival when we stumbled upon Sea to Summit Adventures and scheduled a trip to the Columbia River Gorge. We were very pleased to find our tourguide, Joshua, had grown up in Portland, and had been hiking the gorge since he was 3. His knowledge of the area combined with his infectious personality made our day spectacular. So much so, that we booked him for a Portland City and Rose Garden tour later in the week. I went on a wine tour this weekend through Sea to Summit, and it was an excellent experience. Josh is the owner/driver, and we have been with him before for Thanksgiving wine weekend. This year I went with 9 other people and a great time was had by all. Josh is very professional, He picked us up from my house at exactly the time we specified, and he was very courteous and respectful. We have been to wine country many times, and Josh helped plan the day with input from the group. We brought our own lunch, and Josh was able to call ahead to Vista Hills winery to arrange a room for us to have lunch, and the table was all set up when we arrived, so we just had to bring in our lunch and enjoy. The winery also provided tastings for us while we ate our lunch, and it was nice to eat indoors because wine weekend is always a little cold. I would definitely recommend Sea to Summit to anyone looking for someone to tour with in the Portland area. You will not be disappointed.

I have been on a few wine tasting tours with Sea To Summit and would definitely recommend it highly. Sea to Summit was prompt picking up our group, played good music in the van on the drive, and provided cups for us to drink wine on the way. He knew all the good wineries to visit, as well as the best one to sit and have a picnic. The prices are very reasonable and we never once felt rushed. He was willing to take us to as many wineries as we wanted. I will definitely be booking another wine tour soon!

I recently went on my second wine tour with Sea to Summit with a group of girlfriends. This company handles everything! Not a single detail went unnoticed. We had the best driver who we allowed to pick the wineries – he knew what he was doing and had great relationships established with the wineries. There are so many great aspects to this company – they pick you up at your home, drive you to each winery, pay for the tastings and bill you at the end of the day, gather your purchases and keep them safe during the trip and make sure every comfort is met! I highly recommend Sea to Summit…I might start skiing again just to have them take me up to the mountain.
